The largest fuel filling network in Azerbaijan – “Azpetrol” is celebrating its 26th anniversary

Today, “Azpetrol” company, which has the largest gas filling network in Azerbaijan, is celebrating the 26th anniversary of its successful operation. Over the past years, the company has made great progress and increased the number of gas stations to 100 this year, in the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”, announced on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people. Strengthening the “Azpetrol” brand and expanding its geography to Karabakh is one of the short-term priority directions of the company Strategic Development Plan “Azpetrol” modular gas stations are already operating in Zangilan, Hadrut, Sugovushan and Fuzuli districts. The company thereby contributes to the issue of ensuring employment, which is part of the “Great Return” plan to Karabakh. It should be noted that the establishment, development, and successful operation of “Azpetrol” company is a logical result of the signing of the “Contract of the Century” in 1994, which was made possible as a result of the work done by the great leader Heydar Aliyev in the field of economic and entrepreneurial development in Azerbaijan and gave impetus to the development of the oil strategy of the republic. The goals of the new oil strategy, which continues to be implemented under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, is the road map of the directions of the activities of “Azpetrol” company. The first gas station of “Azpetrol” company – “Spartak” - was opened on July 15, 1997, at the address of 1013 Moskva avenue, Nasimi district, Baku city. Currently, the company has a total of 100 gas stations in most economic zones of our country, 1 liquid gas (propane- butane) gas station, 1 compressed natural gas (CNG) terminal that meets the most modern standards in the republic and serves passenger transportation in public transport, 3 oil depots for storing fuel products, fuel trucks Autobaza for more than 100 fuel-carrying vehicles and passenger cars is available to ensure continuous transportation of fuel to gas stations. There are 4 compressed natural gas filling stations, 4 liquefied gas filling stations, 17 electric car charging stations, 8 motels, as well as catering facilities (café, car wash, market) in most stations for the provision of various services. “Azpetrol” is on the list of the largest employers in Azerbaijan, and the company currently employs more than 3,300 employees.
